A really good first attempt at bringing the console MGS experience to the PSP. Because Kojmia wasn't closely involved with this one the game doesn't rock the boat in terms of game mechanics or story (which I'm not sure is even canon anymore). What it does introduce is recruiting members of your base by capturing enemy soldiers. Good idea except dragging them back to a retrieval spot can get old. Environments are as exspected smaller and there some problems translating the controls to the one analog nub system, but if you love MGS for stealth gameplay and that unique MGS vision Portable Ops is a worthy entry, even if the story beats are a little predictable.
