I was really hyped when it was announced that Mario Bros. would finally be returning to the 2D plane, but sadly I must admit this game is a pretty lackluster effort as most of the level designs aren't anything special and some of the powerups are of little use. It isn't bad, but it isn't up to snuff with the series' pedigree.
