It's funny how Tekken decided to try the varied elevation environments in this edition after Virtua Fighter had experimented with the same idea in entry 3 and abandoned it in 4. Like VF3, Tekken 4 turned out to be the black sheep of its' series too. While the core gameplay isn't totally altered, it proved to much for Tekken fandom. Luckily the series came roaring back with the next entry.
