While I have to admit the final fights of both preceding Borderlands games have been lackluster, they have both been among the most fun games I've played, not to mention the multiplayer aspects are amazingly fun. They're excellently written with great game play mechanics, interesting characters, and great twists where appropriate. Plus, a game that lets you meta in a DnD game gets bonus points.
