The survival horror genre has been swept aside and deluded over the years. My absolute favorite gaming genre is horror, which is unfortunate for me considering the lack of truly innovative and nerve-racking horror games available. The Evil Within is promising a lot, and certainly has some big shoes to fill. But based on the footage released so far, I have a lot of faith in this game. I certainly won't be waiting for reviews on the game, I'll be diving right in and snatching it off the shelf before a single spec of dust has time to settle on it.
