    I never realised that #Metal Gear Solid (GBC) isn't actually a port of the PS1 classic, but a full fledged spin off title instead. Konami should've just published it as "MGS: Ghost Babel" like they did in Japan in order to avoid any confusion.

When I played it the other day it reminded me of the first Metal Gear which came out on NES, but the story seems to be completely different. You're playing Solid Snake and not Big Boss in this one

      Editing … Well the Game Boy Color version was hard enough to find in stores, so that's why it has the full Metal Gear Solid name. For recognition. My big brother had to scrounge around for it. The sales numbers were low outside of Japan, probably because people didn't think it would turn out as good as the PS1 game. It also came out near the absolute end of the Game Boy's run as a portable console.
