The Mass Effect universe is gamings version of Star Wars (before Lucasfilm declared that the Expanded Universe wasn't cannon). The cause and effect gameplay makes for an extremely unique experience. With Shepard's adventure (supposedly) over, playing as a new character in a different situation might be really interesting.
