There is DLC for this game.
Mushroom Pack (launching on May 2.): includes 2 new courses (36 holes) and Toadette as a playable character
Flower Pack (launching later on May): includes 2 new courses (36 holes) and Nabbit as a playable character
Star Pack (launching in June): includes 2 new courses (36 holes) and Rosalina as a playable character

Each pack costs $5.99. You can also purchase all three packs for $14.99 and also get Gold Mario as a playable character. There is a "trial tournament" mode where you can play samples of the new courses if you are not sure whether to purchase a pack or not.

What do you think? Is the price tag reasonable or is Nintendo ripping their customers off?

Editing … It seems pricey to me. I'm against most DLC, all it is is a way to get more cash. There are some exceptions though, such as most of the Fallout ones, they added a hell of a lot of content.

Editing … What bugs me most is that the Mushroom Pack is "Day One DLC" which means that the developers simply removed those courses from the game to make more money by selling them individually! I'm sure this also applies to the other packs. I hate such business practices. It's like making a complete game, cutting it half and selling it for the full price while charging extra money for the other half of the game.

Editing … The only way to make it stop is to not buy it. If we all did it then next time we would get the entire game and end up paying less.

Editing … I'm on the fence on this game. I like the idea of playing as my Mii and buying gear to upgrade my stats sort of like an RPG. Though I must say the game looks graphically off, like the environment is glowing, and some courses like DK Jungle are ugly as sin. There's also visible wind which seems distracting. I guess it totally makes sense to have that for a golf game, even though you can just look at the HUD to know what direction the wind is.
