This was one of the better films in the "haunted house based-on-a-true-story suspense" subgenre I've seen. Like every other film in that category I've seen though, it wasn't especially scary, per say. It had some startling moments, and I was interested enough to want to know the back story behind the demons haunting the house. It was also suspenseful, taking its time in revealing pieces of the story to the viewer. It's a solid movie, as long as you don't expect to be profoundly frightened by it.
