After hearing that Outlast was a truly a terrifying experience and that it was coming to the PS4 I was excited. One: Because I like horror games and two: Because the PC I use can't play any games. The deal was even better when I got it for free on PS Plus. After playing it I concluded that it was not as scary as I had hoped. The game looks good and has an interesting plot. The gameplay is also good. I have experienced minor issues and things that should have worked not working, but overall it functioned really well. I was kind of disappointed by how "scary" it was. I was expecting to be afraid to turn every corner dreading what would be next, but instead I was turning corners hoping for something to happen. The game does have some terrifying moments, but I expected more. Overall I was left a bit unsatisfied, but I really enjoyed the experience.
