El Viento is a very fun game despite its flaws. The difficulty is unbalanced (the first boss is the hardest) theres some massive slowdown problems, the story is confusing and all over the place (though it is the second of a trilogy and it still manages to be interesting) and its worth noting the game is very short, though I view this as a positive rather than a negative as it doesn't artificially lengthen itself with excessive difficulty as so many games of the time did and it doesn't overstay its welcome

Despite all this the game is a blast, slowdown aside its fast, your weapon feels satisfying, as does upgrading your magic and health over time. The animation is quite good by Genesis standards and the platforming is challenging without being unfair. Also having a really super badass female protagonist is really cool, especially considering the time it came out.

Overall it's a fun game that wont take too much investment and worth giving a chance to. Its a hidden gem
