My initial impression of BG&E was that it was a little cheesy, but that was probably a show of its age. Regardless, by the end I was floored by what turned out to be a deep story with well-expressed emotion and wonderful presentation value. Melee combat is slightly mundane, but other than that, everything's done right including an urban twist on Zelda, fun stealth mechanics, and well-implemented co-op. It's all sweetened with a cinematic camera, atmospheric music, and powerful voice work. Hard to believe it was originally made in French.
