I must admit I actually have a bit of respect for the Bollmonster because he's really got cojones for directing such awful tripe and then standing for it in a totally uncompromising "You got a problem with that? Do ya? DO YA?!"-sort of way. In fact, he even seems proud of it. Seriously! This guy is genuinely *proud* of having directed BloodyRayne and Alone In The Darkl! Really, if that is not cojones, I don't know what is.

And believe it or not, I happen to think that he's actually a rather good producer, because he knows how to finance a movie, he knows how to get stars on-board, and he knows how to attract publicity for his films. However, he also happens to think that he's got an inch of creativity in him, and THAT is where he falls flat on his face, cue films like, well, Alone in the Dark: badly paced, badly written and just generally really badly made.

Editing … But there's a problem because from what I can gather Boll is far too overbearing to let anybody else have creative control or have any say in how his films are done. It shows in the way he works with, or rather against, scriptwriters.
