While this early Legend of Heroes game is a little old, the story is a fantastic epic with remarkable dialogue. The game's pace is slow, but the characters grow in surprising ways. The quest is stuck on a linear path, but this journey is full of memorable friendships and courageous rescue missions. A Tear of Vermillion delivers plenty of charm, as long as players have the patience to play through it all.
