Corpse Party is a step back in time to text-based horror theatrics. The 2D sprites look a bit ugly, but the gory deaths are shocking. The game has few action sequences, but it makes up for them with eerie string melodies and moments of frightening silence. Although I've experiesnced this atmosphere in other survival horror games, Corpse Party's presentation far exceeded my expectations.
