Strider had a clever cyber-punk vibe filled with bizarre robot creatures. Not even Ninja Gaiden bosses could match the impossible design of the caterpillar machine made of Soviet Russian government officials. Although the jumping controls are unfairly skewed, the game had a clever way of forcing players to adjust to a myriad of difficult situations.
