The original Nintendo Ninja Gaidens games redefined the platforming genre with challenging side-scroller bosses. Even though it was difficult, it truly made players feel like ninjas. There are numerous sections that required players to time their button pushes with precise timing. The storyline is also much more dramatic than many other 8-bit games at the time.
