The Legend of Dragoon doesn't need a sequel the fans are calling out for, but rather a remake. Even though this game had a big budget behind it, it looks, sounds and plays like a low budget game. In certain aspects it was well ahead of its time, but all other aspects dragged it down to mediocrity. Which is a shame really, since there's a gem hidden beneath all the rubble.
Pros: Superb story and lore, awesome boss fights, great battle system, sparks of brilliance
Cons: Poor writing, atrocious backtracking, poorly rewards exploration, random encounter rate is too high for such a battle system, visual and sound departments aren't very memorable, good-for-nothing world map
