Castlevania Chronicles is a curious update of the original Castlevania, originally released in Japan in '93 on the Sharp X68000 home computer, and was later rereleased with a new arranged soundtrack on the Playstation. In a lot of ways it's the best way to experience the first game, with better graphics, sound (including a wicked rendition of Bloody Tears!), controls, and some new and expanded stages, at it's core still the super hard but super cool classic platformer. I'm glad I got to play this.
