I just watched this today. I'm a HUGE Dragon Ball fan, so naturally I was hyped. My hype went into overdrive when I was told Akira Toriyama was actually involved!

...it's ok, I guess. Without spoiling anything, it was a pretty generic story with the great characters we all know from the anime. With the exception of Vegeta, it was pretty faithful to the characters for the most part but it seemed to focus a little too much on a villain that doesn't have that great of a backstory. He was funny and charismatic, but that's about it really.

I'd say check it out! But don't go expecting Dragon Ball greatness, because it isn't.
