Luigi's Mansion is one of does "must unlikely to exist" type of game; is a light survival horror thrill with Mario comedy flavor. Gotta love the title, it puts Luigi above slightly larger than the word mansion; it makes me chuckle, Nintendo is pretty much saying "this is Luigi's game!!", I love it!. It has a basic format of exploration and secret hunting, crucial to move forward in the game, the battles are very easy, the same technique works on every enemy (except the boos and some bosses). I honestly think the game is fun, is no masterpice, but is definitely worth a play.
