I have this game since it's release, haven't got back to it in a long time. I was really enjoying it though, hoping to get back to it this christmas!

Editing … How does it compare to previous games? I should get it in the mail in the next few days.

Editing … I thought it was gonna be a really great game, I thought the trailers and pics looked awesome. The new artstyle made me think they were going a more serious direction, which I thought was the logical step for the next Tales of game which got me very hyped. I'm at the 10h mark iirc, and while it didn't live up to the hype, it's still your standard Tales of game which means it's pretty good. I like it more than Vesperia, I hated that game but the gameplay was good, but I still find Symphonia to be the best yet and Abyss was also better. My only dissapointment is that I thought this was gonna be much more than standard...

Editing … Standard Tales game sounds awesome to me! I tend to like them a little more than the average RPG fan. I ordered Graces F too, now I have a couple of days to try and decide which to play first.

Editing … The thing where Tales of really stands out is in it's awesome combat, but I just wish they played with it a little more. Graces F was the one that tried to change it more, but both of these ended up pretty standard JRPG's with cliche'd and boring plots, bland soundtracks...but hey, these games are all worth it just for the gameplay alone!

Editing … Well, you know me, I'm an old school JRPG diehard, I don't want them messing about with what I love. Just keep on churning them out as they are, I don't want another FFXIII :D I also got both for £50 on Amazon, it was too good an offer to turn down, games here are usually £40 each.

Editing … Well i'm also a JRPG diehard, but when I feel i'm paying for the same game all the time there's a problem. To be fair, FFXIII was a good step in direction of JRPG storytelling even though the writing was...questionable to say the least. But when I play XIII I can AT LEAST say i'm not playing the same game again. Tales of are better than XIII, don't get me wrong here xD

Editing … The problem for me with XIII was its linearity. At least the Tales games are open world, I can explore the world map and grind in different areas. Some people say it kills the pace of the games story, but I like games more as an adventure, I like to feel I'm evolving my character more than following the story.

Editing … To be fair, Graces F is also extremely linear in terms of progression (even though it has many side stuff). And yeah, XIII was way too linear to ignore...you're like me it seems, you value gameplay much more than focus on story. I like when they have both, but give me a JRPG with a shit story but awesome gameplay and i'll love it much more than one that does the opposite :D

Editing … Yep, Gameplay>Story for me too. Ah, Graces is linear huh..... I'll play it first, then if it isn't living up to my expectations I can move on to Xillia.

Editing … Just like XIII, the linearity does not ruin the game. It has great gameplay, Graces F is definitely worth trying!
