Sonic R is not a very good game. The controls are sloppy, the tracks aren't designed well, and the method to get the Chaos Emeralds is beyond frustrating. I'm not the only one who feels this way, as Sonic fans old and new collectively HATE this game. I'd agree with their criticism (if not a little overblown) with the exception of one gripe: the music. You know, it's strange that of all the hate towards this game, the most is directed towards what I believe to be the best and most memorable part of the game. The complaint is that the music doesn't compliment the fast-paced gameplay. I must be listening to a different OST because that isn't true! The soundtrack is vibrant and catchy, and it's better than the actual game.
