This is just about the most unique experience one can have in the Pokemon franchise. Taking source material from the HORRIBLE, AWFUL television show, Yellow Version opted to give players a new way to experience the Kanto adventure without taking away what made the original versions so great. It's easily the most challenging in the series, forcing players to expand their team before facing the first gym leader, as the mandatory starter Pikachu's attacks did not affect Brock's Geodude and Onix whatsoever. It's also the only title to allow players to obtain all three starters without a link cable and a friend. Re-spriting all 151 Pokemon and keeping that same beautiful gameplay and music, Yellow version is one of the best versions ever.
