What is everyone's beef with DKL? It's a well-done port of the original masterpiece with great level design and amazing music. Sure it's frustrating, but the entire DKC franchise is known for it's tough level design. And yes, the graphics have aged horribly, but who cares? Since when do graphics scale a game back? Obvoiusly a take on the "Super Mario Land" series, DKL focused more on bringing the SNES classic to the Game Boy rather than expanding on the usual formula used on consoles. With only four stages, each level included secrets and the game was backed by a battery pack. And did I mention the yellow cartridge color? And the amazing music? DKL gets too much crap and, in my opinion, it's one of the better games in the DK series.
