A bonified classic, Metal Slug is and always will be my favorite in the run-and-gun genre (you got REALLY close, Gunstar Heroes). The controls were perfect, the weaponry was fast, and the humor was there, constantly delivering chuckles as you died a dramatic death or blew up an unsuspecting enemy with the RAWKET LAWN-CHAIR! It's a game I can always come back to and enjoy, whether playing with 4 bright buttons and two joysticks or on the Neo Geo. Metal Slug is an absolute classic that should be played in an arcade.
