I don't think I've ever taken the time to really write out what this game means to me. It's easy to look at this game and see it as a simple and fun platformer, and in most respects that's entirely true. But, this game is entirely aware of this and executes this vision of pure fun with the greatest success. The trademark creativity and fun that the Kirby franchise holds over most entries in it's genre reaches it's pinnacle with this addition. Every single power-up is entertaining to use and every hit on an enemy is satisfactory in it's own way; where it lacks in challenge, it makes up in how fun it is to plow through every stage. Every "mini-game" packaged in introduces their own mechanic, all of which are presented amazingly, never once making the player feel annoyed but rather anxious to seek out everything the new mechanics have to offer. The level design, the co-op functionality, the portability, all and more is what throws this game a step above the rest.
