Disco Elysium.... Fuck this game. I love it to death but it keeps crashing. The switch version is unplayable. Should have just gotten it on PC.

Has anyone here played it? Does it happen on PC too?

Editing … I've had zero crashes over 8 hours of playtime. Tried to play it on my Steam Deck. Playing with a controller is a miserable experience. Mouse or bust.

Editing … The controller is indeed not ideal but I got used to it. The first 10 hours or so were fine but after that the crashes were constant. It's like the game has memory problems. The shit that I see happen I've only seen in tears of the kingdom when I do very elaborate menu glitches. I'm still enjoying it though. The crashes just made me remember that age old fear.... It feels like old times when auto saves didn't exist and your parent could accidentally unplug your game and erase hours of hard work.

Editing … Were you able to dominate that Cuno kid? I just ended up sharing drugs with him. I want him to trust me so I can adopt him and teach him manners.

Editing … I'm playing Fallout NV right now so I know all about the panic of game breaking bugs and crashes. The first major issue I encountered was the infinite loading screen, which would only happen when I tried to go through a particular door. The game would stop responding all together so I would try to quit out with the task manager, but the NV window wouldn't allow me to click anywhere else on screen, requiring a full PC restart. After the fifth time of having to do this I figured out I could still click on the Task Manager menu so long as it was on a different monitor, so that was a time saver. But eventually the infinite loading screen glitch started happening every time I tried to load a save from the main menu. I thought my playthrough was borked until I figured out it won't glitch out if I'm loading a file while in-game, so I would just hit "New Game" from the main menu, skip the intro cutscene, and then load my most recent save. It was smooth sailing after that, until I stepped into the Gomorrah Casino where like most of the casinos, they confiscate your weapons until you leave, except with this particular casino, there's a glitch where they don't give them back! Reloading an older save would lose me hours of progress, so I search online for a solution. Turns out in-game your stuff is stored in three safes located behind a wall you can clip through in third-person mode, but you have to trespass into a restricted area of the casino turning everyone hostile. The Omerta gang were assholes anyway, so after I completed the quest where you get to kill their leaders, I go "Screw the rest of these pricks too!" and retrieve my medicine stick rifle I spent like 20,000 caps on and proceed to explode the heads of every hostile NPC in sight like rotten pumpkins. Overall I'm having a pretty good time but my playthrough is held together with bubblegum and duct tape, as is the Obsidian way.

Editing … And I haven't managed to deal with Cuno yet but I did a Hail Mary and managed to knock out Measurehead despite having extremely low physical stats.

Editing … Lol nice on the Measurehead. I tried to reason with him. I even went so far as to adopt his race theory and kiss up to him, but he still won't move an inch. Maybe I should get a good fat pack of cigarettes and try punching him.

Editing … The Fallout bug sounds horrible. I cannot understand how you could think of shipping a game without making ABSOFUCKINGLUTELY sure there are no bugs like that.

Editing … Obsidian makes buggy games. Bethesda makes buggy games. You get Obsidian to make a game with Bethesda's assets, you have a veritable swarm of bugs. On the plus side, it was apparently much worse at launch.
