Editing … I always thought the most stupid roundabout was in my city but I stand corrected. Somebody actually built that thing.... I wonder if the builders had some reservations.

Editing … They are doing some roadworks on another section of a road here too. It's basically going to be the same 200 metres of road but the traffic should flow better. £355 million! https://nationalhighways.co.uk/our-roads/yorkshire-and-north-east/a63-castle-street/

Editing … It's basically been proven to be dodgy but nothing has happened. The local Hull councillors gave it to a specific company in Hull run by a councillors friend. The workmen weren't doing anything all day, it was all over the socials and even the local news people were sending videos in. It's all just a big con to get the maximum cash from the taxpayers and the councillor no doubt got a fat envelope in return. But like I said, nothing happened, nobody is in court or in trouble or anything. Somebody else somewhere got a piece of the money methinks.

Editing … If you won the lottery you could buy some land and have a 20 bedroom mansion built for about £1m. But if the government restore an existing building the same size it costs the tax payers £40m. There's definitely dodgy stuff going on.

Editing … I guess it is slightly more expensive to carefully demolish certain bits of a building but not others than to just start from scratch......and sometimes there is the asbestos....but it does not seem like a £40m difference.... 40 architects could live lavish lives from that money!
