Wow the Vita hack really is super simple now. I hacked my Vita a couple weeks back and that enabled me to actually use a micro SD and download my 168 legal Vita games I own/got from PS+ over the past 18 years or so. Initially was going to emulate some stuff and try getting the Android games to work but have just been content playing through the library I didn't realize I had cause I only ever had like 10 games on my shitty Vita card at a time over the years.

Editing … Oooh sounds exciting. :-D I always liked the idea of the vita. Never got one because it seemed like Sony was not giving it a lot of support.

Editing … I hacked my Vita this year too. If you have DBdownloader (should come w the hack) then you should be able to get the batteryfixer app. All you have to do is run it once, and doing so "resets" the battery. I noticed a huge difference. My battery not only lasts much longer than it did before, but my battery gauge is more accurate as well. From VitaDBdownloader you should also be able to get apps that disable the lock screen and home button LED. I also have Vitabright 2.0 which lets you lower the screen's brightness beyond stock settings, but that I had to install manually via USB.

Editing … I still have not gotten GTA San Andreas to work but I'm wondering if I should even bother. I think it's positively mad that the screen was to be awake for the entire duration of the download and install. That's ok for ultility apps w small filesizes such ae the ones I mentioned above, but not for like, entire PS2 games.

Editing … I recommend these games: Gravity Rush, Unit 13, Sonic Transformed, Need for Speed Most Wanted, Injustice, Under Night in-Birth, The Treasures of Montezuma 4, and King Oddball. That last one is only like 24 MB so definitely get it.

Editing … Gravity Rush looked great. I played it a bit on a demo vita. It was cool though I didn't really care for the comic aspect of it. The actual game play was pretty tight from what I remember.

Editing … Yea I played through Gravity Rush way back when, never got around to the sequel though. Maybe I'll have to revisit it. Everytime someone mentions it though I think they're talking about Gravity Crash and get confused.

Editing … And thanks for the homebrew/hack recs. I briefly popped into the DB but there's so much in there wasn't sure what was good and the few things I downloaded needed extra steps or were shit but I gotta delve deeper when I got the focus.

Editing … When using my Vita, I can hold down the home button to bring up a menu containing volume and brightness sliders. But I was wondering- did I install something to get that, or is it stock? I remember when I first got a Vita in 2015 or so it did not have volume slider, and I specifically remember posting on a forum wishing it did bc the volume buttons are inconveniently located. I think it was added at one point, either Sony added it in OFW, or CFW adds it by default. Explojin do you have a volume slider there? There should be two I think, one for music volume and the other is called master volume, as well as the one for brightness.

Editing … I thought I'd go to youtube to find my answer bc people post tutorials for really obvious shit from time to time. xD But instead I stumbled on this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NUc4efIENIo so apparently it *is* possible to get PS1 and PSP games on the main home screen. Good to know.

Editing … Everything I've seen so far points to it being added by either CFW or a plugin I've installed. https://manuals.playstation.net/document/gb/psvita/basic/menu.html That's kind of sad but I guess it's still better than Switch which doesn't have this, period.

Editing … There's a volume slider in there for me but I think it's specifically tied to background music.Cause it's not set to the same volume as my main volume buttons.

Editing … I have two volume sliders. I guess I must have definitely installed something to get that. It must have been one of the very first things I installed while looking through the list of apps for the first time, because I barely even remember. It's also how I got the home button LED blocker.
