Went over to the store to reserve a copy of Plague Tale: Requiem for release tomorrow... and nobody seems to have it. Not even Gamestop. What's the point of a brick and mortar games store if they don't have the physical releases on release day? Guess I don't need to go to Gamestop ever again now, cause that's the only time I've purchased from them since like 2008. Was to get games on release day. I set a reserve to pickup in store from Best Buy tomorrow but don't have high hopes. Have a feeling they're gonna call me tomorrow and tell me they don't actually have it.

Editing … I really liked physical game stores but they really have gone downhill. Their 2nd hand selection is really not great and the prices are unnecessarily high. I don’t see cool merch either anymore. Game stores were so amazing even 15 years ago. We had 3 great game stores with different specialities. One even offered disc resurfacing services. I miss that store. It went under. It was my favourite one. So many cool statues, rare consoles and standing game stations and the staff were some high quality nerds. D-:

Editing … To each their own I guess, it certainly wasn't a perfect game but I enjoyed myself and it felt unique. And the devs seemed receptive to some of the gameplay criticism from what I've read so hoping 2 is even better.
