If that's true I should totally not eat chicken and pork. *Is* it true, though. I mean how would he know that. But a google search seems to corroborate what he says. Looks like it'll be just seafood and beef for me. (Even though he doesn't eat fish either.. but I never meant to follow his diet exactly. Up til now I assumed he was being overly restrictive by being beef only. But I am positively not okay with any seed oils.)

Editing … I see that in one of his most recent uploads he says he quit keto because his health deteriorated on the diet. But he was promoting that same diet to people before that (promoting a diet that he now says killed his health.) And now supposedly he has the right answer? Yeah no way. That and he fact that he was raw vegan also tells me that he has no idea about health and diet. How can someone who hops from diet to diet be trusted when it comes to nutrition? Am I supposed to believe him now? After all his diet fuckups that suddenly now he has figured it out? It does not seem like he has found a healthy diet anyone can rely on. I see he does know how to make money off of his supplements and online persona I’ll give him that. He seems a little bit like an evil version of vegetable police. But vegetable police knows he is a dumb shit and his audience knows he is a dumb shit and they even try to get him to eat a normal balanced diet. But when I look in the comments of Paul Saladino’s video’s there are a lot of people who trust him and actually listen to his advice (that same advice which killed his own health). This guy is hurting people and profiting off of them. Don’t base your diet off of what this guy says. Nutrition is not so simple as “oh there is this one molecule in this food which I think is bad so I don’t eat it” Then you might aswell give up on eating altogether. Water too. There is crap in water as well. But it’s still healthy to drink. It’s all about balance and quantity.

Is this fascinating or what? I have a 32 oz walnuts I am considering leaving out on the stoop. But later I read that the mold itself doesn't feed the candida, it's just that some individuals experience bad effects when ingesting mold. So now I have no idea. I thought walnuts were healthy? They eat cake for christs sake. Know when you're not even wrong. I don't consider myself a guru mind you. Of course I'm not going to get everything right on the first go, or even the second or third. It’s bad to not pay any attention to your diet at all. Most people will think they are eating healthfully but if you look at a population scale most people have a very bad diet. But that is their daily diet of course. An incidental slice of cake will not hurt your body. If it’s part of your standard diet it will hurt you of course but do your family eat cake every day then?

Editing … I went around my neighborhood checking out coffee shops so I can get something warm to drink while I'm out being a public nuisance. I found exactly one place I liked, ordered a $6 latte and drank it outside. It was DELICIOUS. I felt energized and happy. Afterwards I decided to look at more options, got a $2 coffee from a convenience store on the wrong side of the tracks. Felt immediately drowsy afterwards. Why plain coffee has this effect on me I still do not understand. I didn't think it would this bad but it practically knocked the wind out of me, I had to go home and lie down (not sleep) and then have a 20 oz soda to in order bounce back from it. Someone explain this to me. Why would be latte be okay but coffee not? Is it simply because it contains milk? I wonder if there's something wrong with the equipment used to make the coffee, like rust, metal poisoning, or just rancid water. Or maybe (and perhaps more likely) ground coffee has just something wrong with it that my body doesn't like, whereas espresso is okay. (but aren't they the same thing?)

Editing … p.s. that thing I wrote earlier about high mold nuts is still on my mind. The fact that the mold does NOT feed the candida directly. If that's the case then why tell me about it?? The implications are huge. Because in that case there is a whole host of things I'm doing that are bad for candida that may not be food related. Mental stress, lack of sleep, going outside without a sweater, or hell, simply drinking soda. For one thing, though, I guess I should be less concerned about candida "safe" foods (because technically it's safer to just not eat), and look more at foods that actually kill candida growth. P.S. I wonder if supplements cause candida? Who can tell? If a walnut can make your body freak out "therefore causing candida" then certainly an artificially produced capsule with god knows what inside could too.

Editing … Maybe the cheap coffee was brewed at a higher temperature or it was stronger? I have become sleepy because of highly concentrated coffee I brewed at a high temperature and steeped for too long. That extracts a lot of caffeine. Btw have you been tested for candida infection? If you have an infection like that you can get it treated within weeks. Otherwise trying to kill candida is a bit weird because it's just a gut bacteria everyone has and it's not a problem. It's only a problem when you have an infection with it because then there are too many of the same species crowding out the rest so then your digestion goes bad. But if you don’t have an infection like that, eating like you do is just as useless as eating like you have a peanut allergy if you don’t actually have an allergy to peanuts. You’d be going out of your way for something that is not even a problem for you. I know someone who did have some gut bacteria overgrowth (don’t remember what strain) and they got it treated with antibiotics and the pain was gone within weeks. Before that they avoided all kinds of food but it never got better. They wished they would have just gotten tested sooner and had antibiotics right away instead of years of avoiding gluten. Now they can eat everything no problem.

(or if not, it's still worth finding out) That still leaves the question as for why I tolerated the latte, I think honestly maybe the latte had a negative effect, but the milk masked the effects, either because my body really likes sugar, really likes milk, or both. P.S. I find it interesting that YOU get sleepy after strong coffee! So it's not just me then! P.P.S. I just had a bunch of cereal with milk. That shit is sooo good. The candida diet is obviously made up by someone who isn't a professional, and since it's made up, they get to add all sorts of completely bullshit clauses like the moldy nut part, that ends up being repeated by everyone else who shares the diet. Recently and unexpectedly I've discovered another cereal I actually like: Post Shredded Wheat, which has no sugar at all. However, I eat Ezekiel with water and occasionally kefir, whereas I eat Post with milk, so Post may be the more sugary one in practice. In fact, I've started to wonder if it's really healthy to consume that much milk at once and whether my body is good at digesting it. So I'm wondering if I should ignore all the fad diets/advice and just focus on foods that aid digestion, like Ezekiel, beans, and fruit. Meaning that if I decide I want some, it's too late to go back in time and tell my past self to take my iron. Granted if all nutrients were this slow-acting, then that would be different, but I assume that is not the case. (and what nutrient is more important than blood? blood is literally what carries nutrients throughout the body) EDIT: Iron overdose is a thing though. "At high doses, iron is toxic. For adults and children ages 14 and up, the upper limit -- the highest dose that can be taken safely -- is 45 mg a day." My supplement provides a little over 100% daily value. So how much is 100%? I didn't even know what hoecakes were).. if only I can find a place that sells it without seed oils, which is probably unlikely. I bet even the ones I ate had seed oil, but because they came from a restaurant, I have no way of knowing. And the funny thing about not knowing, is that it magically becomes safe to eat it.

Editing … What klem said got me thinking. Is there even a way to measure how much blood you have? I heard of blood pressure tests, blood glucose monitors, but no way to know your amount of blood except to calculate how much you've lost. Eerie.. (also, didn't I read once, that your body creates the plasma in a shorter time frame, but the red blood cells is what takes much longer and requires the iron? Meaning your blood could lack potency. Maybe there's a way to measure *that*.)

Editing … Anaemia is a lack of healthy red blood cells. For anaemia they compare the amount of red blood cells to the amount of haemoglobin in the sample. They don't need to know the weight/litres of blood you have because that says absolutely nothing (unless you maybe have a gunshot wound). Everyone has about the same 5 litres of blood but someone with anaemia will have comparatively fewer healthy red blood cells. That's what they're looking for because the blood cells transport the actual oxygen.

I really get that people like the warm and fuzzy feelings they get from those milky hormones but I think it’s a bit creepy. I’m very glad I stopped drinking it. When you drink milk you want more and more. That's them hormones that keep the calf interested in the milk and the fatty creaminess full of callories. Makes you feel cosy and happy and content like a baby calf.

Editing … oat milk is sweet only because they add sugar to it. When I first forayed into plant based milks I was excited by good they tasted (I was like how is everyone sleeping on this vegan thing?? this shit is GOOD) but after a while I would lean toward the unsweetened varieties. But now I see them all as processed junk. It's like drinking glue. "When you drink milk you want more and more." Meh. That applies to a tremendous amount of food and drink out there, whether or not it's healthy and whether or not it's vegan. In fact I had long considered that to just be a persistent aspect of the human condition. We weren't really designed to say "ok I've ate/drank enough x, wouldn't want to get fat". If I decide to boil ten eggs, I end up eating all ten. Etc.

Editing … None of the oatmilk here is sweetened. Oats naturally have sweetness to them. I can't stomach the sweetened varieties of plant milk. They don't sell well here either. I can make my own oat milk. You just cook the oats and strain the fluid. It tastes fine but the texture is just a little watery. It's just oat juice but factories are better at creating the right texture if you want to do stuff like cappuccino. It’s not a necessity and also not a health food (but also not unhealthy it’s just meh) but it's a nice option to have for coffee and stuff and the odd occasion that I want cereal. but usually I just like the taste of oatmeal with plain water.

Editing … Yes that applies to many foods. I didn’t explain very well but I know from experience that for milk it’s a different type of wanting than say crisps or soda or whatever. When you drink milk on occasion I don’t think you get that feeling but if you have it often you get a type of addiction that I can’t explain very well. It’s a strange feeling. Not just a feeling of “oh this tastes so good I want moar!”

Editing … ok so I mentioned Red 40 before, but apparently Yellow 5 and 6 also have a bad rap. So maybe I should avoid orange flavored Powerade as well. Arguably at this point I should probably drop Powerade altogether, but I still see the electrolytes/hydration as a benefit, and the White Cherry flavor doesn't have any food coloring whatsoever, so I always have that as a last resort. Mixed Berry may also be tolerable, since it uses Blue 1 which doesn't seem to have as bad of a reputation as the aforementioned Yellow 5/6 and Red 40. Ideally though every flavor of Powerade should be White Cherry and it's kind of messed up that it's not.

Are the benefits of calcium worth the drawbacks of seed oils? (this supplement actually contains a lot of things actually: calcium, magnesium, zinc/copper/boron, L-Lysine, vitamins C, K, D2, wow!) https://www.amazon.com/Deva-Vegan-Vitamins-Cal-Mag-Tablet/dp/B06XHHFRB5/ Seeing as I'm apparently ok with the protein bars, this indicates that I find seed oils harmful "only in theory". But then again the calcium is beneficial "only in theory". I could be just fine getting it from food sources. (oh, and btw, I tried finding other calcium supplements online, but it's one of those supplements which, like vitamin E, tends to always contain oil or glycerin. Probably due to the fact that calcium is fat soluble. sigh)
