8/10 - Really solid game all around. A nice surprise that I'm not entirely sure how it weaseled it's way in between my backlog. Only knocked a few points because lack of difficulty, controls are a bit dated, and levels were feeling a bit samey samey. Except for that weird space pirate ship level near the end... What was that about? So random. It was a game that just wasn't afraid to be a game. Why does he pick up floating spells? What are these enemies? Why is the checkpoint a technicolor cube?... It doesn't matter, just have fun.
