We went to a foodhall and I handed Claire my bank card, I said get me a cheeseburger and get yourself whatever you like. I was sat there playing with Isabella and my phone pinged, it was my bank. "You just spent £42 at Hammonds food hall"!!!! Fucking 42 quid! FORTY. TWO. POUNDS! It was nice, and so was the beer and fries I got with it. But that is a LOT of money for 2 burgers, 2 beers and 2 chips. Oh, and an extra halloumi fries. Or am I just getting old? That seems ridiculous to me, but I used to laugh at old people who complained at current prices too.
