Jumping around Dreams feels like when I used to be into free indie games back in high school. You find some little 10 minute game and then you click into the creator and start experiencing the rest of their catalog. It was the same thing back then where I'd find a Locomalito, Vlambeer, Meshoff, or Cactus game and then you would find yourself on their dinky web page downloading all their releases. And kind of get a sense of a map of the creators journey .

Editing … Like the old internet! Oh lol Vlambeer is Dutch. I know a guy who likes to look cool propping himself up with other people’s achievements who hung around the Vlambeer guys a lot in those days. For the longest time I thought he worked on it because he talked like he did but he had nothing to do with it. I never played it. Is it good? I know the team put a lot of effort into promotion but I never took it seriously because it’s a Dutch game and I‘m biased that way. I never think anything good can come from this country.

Editing … Huh, not sure which game you're talking about. Vlambeer was the name of a two man game studio, they made Super Crate Box, Ridiculous Fishing, Luftrausers, and Nuclear Throne among other things. They disbanded a year or two ago though.

Editing … Oh maybe it's the name of the studio then. I always got confused from the guy. Yeah it's the same team. So they made a bunch of games and they are just called Vlambeer? That actually makes a lot of sense. That's why I could never find any gameplay of "Vlambeer" lol. It just does not exist. Ridiculous Fishing sounds good.

Editing … Yea, from what I gather Jan Willem Nijman was the primary coder and Rami Ismail did the business side of things. But they did use various artists and musicians.

Editing … PS4's controller is definitely better than PS5's. But it still doesn't excite me.. lately I wonder if I would rather own an Xbox Series. Yeah.. seriously. I'm even wondering if I should return the PS4 to my brother and hook up my PS3 instead, simply bc I have more of a history with that system, so it comes with that personal attachment. Although, before I do that, I should first try to catch up on any Sony exclusives. I'm actually considering playing Death Stranding of all things, simply because I would not have another opportunity to do so.

Editing … I mean I feel confident the PS5 will get it's stride eventually but right now the content just isn't there. Unless you have a top of the line monitor/TV the image quality boost isn't really applicable, load times of the SSD are cool but the drive is so small you can only fit like 4 games on it, 90% of the time I just turn off the haptic triggers and on top of all that the damn thing has crashed more times on me in this first year than my PS4 crashed in it's lifetime. And the UI is so clunky.

Editing … I mainly want a ps5 to play ps4 games without the console sounding like an engine. I always get distracted by that so if I can have the experience without the fan noise I'd rather have that. Otherwise I'd wait with the ps5 for a long long time. But maybe I can wait anyway. The UI problems sound nasty though.... I don't know what to do now. What ps4 is the quietest?

Editing … My PS4 is quieter than my PS3. And my PS3 kicks out a lot of heat, I've played them both a lot over the weekend. I wish PS4 played PS3 games.

Editing … My PS3 slim is embarrasingly loud. My closet has a wooden shelf built in and I think I actually could hear the movement from inside the PS3 transfer across all the wood. It was the worst playing Gran Turismo 6, which causes the PS3 to incessantly click throughout gameplay, not sure why. The PS4 seems quiet, but then again I use it in a louder place, and I usually play digital games so it doesn't make any sound. It's louder when using a disc. Because of my past experience with the PS3, the SSD on the PS5 sounded like a major draw to me, that is until I bought a red PS5 controller for emulators and found how cheap the controller feels. (I actually bought an Xbox Series controller as well and was shocked to find it was quite good. How the tables have turned!)

Editing … P.S. I'm glad this conversation started. Remembering how loud the PS3 was makes me think I should definitely hook it up where I currently have my PS4. I guess I don't have to lose the PS4 altogether but I don't feel like having two systems there and I unno if PS3 can even be safely placed on top of a PS4. Also, like I said, the PS4 (the design of the controller and console itself) just doesn't excite me. Call me weird, but that apparently factors into my like for a console. I can't help it.

Editing … " PS3 slim is embarrasingly loud" yeah mine was too. Even playing gta was not loud enough to cover up the sound. If ps4 is less noisy that seems better then but I’m just used to Nintendo consoles that make no sound at all. I always stack my consoles. My n64 is on top of my NES in a drawer. I had my ps3 on top of my xbox. If you really don’t care at all for the ps4 I guess you can let it go but I always regret getting rid of consoles. In the moment I think I’ll never use them again but later I want them again. My poor poor Dreamcast! D-:
