I'm getting bored of Retroachievements. As if emulation wasn't enough of a lousy experience to begin with, and profoundly worse than just playing on a regular console in nearly every conceivable way, RA actually adds several more hoops to go through to get achievements working, and only certain games are supported, and you have to be constantly worried whether you're logged in or not, all of which wouldn't be an issue if you were playing emulators to just, y'know, play games. It happened to me on more than one occasion that I missed an achievement permanently because the emulator logged me out for some reason. (something which happens fairly regularly, so I'm feel I constantly in battle with the emulator to make sure I'm logged in) The first time it happened to me, I had to start the entire game over. Although I was near the beginning, so I didn't mind too much. But the more recent time it happened, my only recourse is to go on their Discord and request to have them manually award me the achievement. What makes me mad is that I actually checked twice if I was logged in and it appeared that I was. Obviously I shouldn't have to check period, I should be able to just play the game and get the achievements. To think, then, that I actually went out of my way to check but still got screwed over. What more could I have done? I give up, man.

So.. what's next for me? I still never hooked up that Xbox 360 that I got back in 2020. But I'm worried that I have too many things plugged in to a single wall outlet. I could CFW my Vita but there's not much reason I would actually use it for anything except maybe to check out GBA games. I might as well get it over with though, just because it's something I always intended to do at some point.
