Would anyone who has played around with an air fryer recommend getting one? I've been eating a lot healthier lately but I really miss French fries, and there are a number of smaller items it would be nice to cook up without using up all the extra electricity to heat the entire oven.

Editing … Is it not enough to fry them in a regular pan?

Editing … ^It uses heated air to fry the food (hence the name) so it's a lot less fatty than pan frying, which usually requires oil, adding a lot of fat content. I do recommend an air fryer. I have one, and it's nice for preparing frozen food like fries. They always come out more evenly cooked than in the oven. Speaking of which, it's also nice for when you're making two things at once that would normally be cooked in the oven and at different temperatures, and you don't have the luxury of a double-oven. Obviously you can make non-frozen food in it, too, but we haven't even tried that yet. Err on the side of a bigger one because you need to avoid filling the container to the brim so that the air can circulate through the food properly.
