Did you buy your copy of Super Mario 3D All-Stars? WELL? DID YA?

(This is still a stupid sales move. I've suffered worse, though...)

Editing … Yeah but I'm still on the fence on playing it. On one hand it feels selfish to anyone who haven't bought their Switch yet. (which could easily have been me) And I feel kind of miffed about being strongarmed into buying a game within a certain timeframe. On the other hand, Switch has almost nothing else worth playing. And I love Odyssey, which even contains references to 64. So I was tempted to break my self-imposed 3D All Stars embargo on more than a few occasions.

Editing … The thing that nags at me is that Nintendo probably tested this "limited release" shenanigan out with Kirby's anniversary years ago. I mean, it boosts their sales at the end of the fiscal year, but bleh.

Editing … I was thinking that Persona 5 Strikers was a Switch exclusive, but then it appeared on PS5. Man, I could've sworn that this was only for Switch at one point...

Editing … I kinda didn't know until this year that Persona is Sony exclusive, pretty weird considering how many spinoffs appear on Nintendo systems with Persona Q even being Nintendo exclusive. (kinda rude also) Strikers looks bad though, the dubbing, the stealth.. doesn't appeal to me. Seems there's a running theme with anything Persona related to have tons and tons of dialogue. And it's not even very good dialogue. Maybe for some people that's the charm of it- a bunch of dumb high school friends hanging out together.

Editing … Strikers was actually released for multiple systems. It looks like Strikers is a continuation of the same story as Persona 5, though? That's an odd decision to me, but I suppose the spinoffs were also continuations in their own alternate worlds. I probably shouldn't think too hard about it.

Editing … Anyways, all the main Persona games are more like modern day epics with demon summoning and their own self-contained mythology. None of the spinoffs ever fully captured that concept. I have no idea whether Atlus is finishing Project Re:Fantasy, but I hope they come up with something interesting, at least.
