Pretty good. Not exceptional, but good. The game does not explain some of its mechanics however (e.g. the fact that you can turn into a ball while being charged up from all that running and stuff) and using the screw attack actually makes things harder because you unintentionally destroy things (e.g. enemies that can serve as platforms). I liked the additional content and it even comes with the original NES game!
