Whelp, it's another Etrian Odyssey game. The toughest one yet. The best feature is actually the character designer. Now we can finally change the hair and eye color to whatever we want! The skin could use more colors, but dang, this game went pretty far. There's 60 different character voices to choose from. The class skill tree also feels extremely well-balanced with useful skills that are necessary for survival.

The story is a basic-as-hell quest about reaching the top of that damned Yggdrasil Tree that's in every single game. However, a lot of the decisions in the journey are entirely left to the player. This dungeon crawler is about as open-ended as possible. Sure, we could've used some freaking airships and gigantic F.O.E.s, but man, now we can create a black gunman named Shaft. Or at least I did that, because come on, I had to.
