Played a couple hours of this today. It's been too long since I've played a Devil May Cry game. I'm just glad this one starts a lot faster than DMC4. That game took forever to get going. Bit miffed at starting off as Nero again instead of Dante, but he grew on me last time. The Devil Breaker system could be interesting, but time will tell.

Editing … DMC5 comes so close to being the best one, but there are so many nits to pick. I really wish once you've beaten the game you could play through all the levels as any character. I haaaaate V. I appreciate them trying something different but as I chip away at the S ranks I dread his levels. The skill ceiling is absolutely insane but I feel like they've just thrown too many commands in to the point where you feel like you're doing twister with your fingers, particularly with Nero by the time you unlock everything. Still it's the best hacko, slasho, button masho title I've played in nearly a decade.

Editing … Except for Sekiro if that counts.

Editing … Letting you choose your character for a replay seems like such an obvious inclusion. That sucks that they didn't implement it.

Editing … They would have to find some workarounds for the areas that require Nero's grapple arm and such, but unlike previous games, DMC5 has pretty much no puzzles or mazes and the like. It's just one room of baddies after another (which also hurts the pacing imo) so it feels silly to lock levels to a single character because of some basic navigation mechanics.
