Might get back into this soon, got burnt out a few months back because I spent all my time trying to perfect side routes. When I do get back to it I think I'm gonna focus mainly on the story missions to progress myself through. Finding myself getting lost in 100% runs lately, it's just taking away all my fun for no real gain.

      Editing … I don't think I've tried to 100% any open-world game. I'd go mad.

Editing … Discovering and unlocking or collecting all secrets is the main drive to play any open-world game for me. If only the worlds didn't get this ridiculously big, and the games so many. That's what's taking away all the fun for me.

Editing … I'd like all my open worlds to be too large to 100%. That means I can keep playing it without ever running out of content.

Editing … I agree with Woody, I'm a completionist at heart. I like to leave no stone unturned. But now for some reason developers have just made it ridiculous to 100% a world. I mean in Red Dead 2 I spent two hours walking around looking for a bird to shoot for feathers to craft an item that I had no intention of using. Now I'm playing Rise of the Tomb Raider and while I was having fun throughout the story I've now started the collectathon and have started to lose the fun. I guess it's just a subset of FOMO.

Editing … Understandably. It's not fun when it's work.

Editing … A world that can't be fully completed, to me, feels more immersive. Like, I'd never want to 100% Skyrim (at least in one save file), because when I do, that world would feel like it's stopped breathing. It can offer me no more but endless cycles of NPC routines and enemy respawns, with some auto-generated bandit hunts. It feels nice to always be able to wander and find something new, or at least check a map and spot something interesting to check out.
