What the hell? Why does this remake have an all-out anime opening? Oh whatever. If it keeps me from falling asleep while playing this midget sprite game, I'd take it.

Editing … anime openings in RPGs are pointless since you still have to play the game afterwards, inducing a sense of disappointment, dread, a need to sleep, or all of the above. It's been a fact all the way since circa nineteen-ninety-Wilds-Arms.

Editing … It's like placing an advertisement for the game at the start of the game. "oh! That looks cool! I should buy it! ... oh wait, I already did. Damn it!"

Editing … Still makes absolutely no sense when they do this for old games that can't even replicate a similar art style. Chrono Trigger is cool, though.

Editing … Like, I literally can't go back to the Lunar games anymore for that reason. Except for maybe Lunar Silver Star Harmony.

Editing … Yeah the old games tend to have a lot of personality that gets sucked out and replaced with modern anime blandness, real shit. (Star Ocean 1/2 being good examples) It bugged me when this happened to Street Fighter 4, even. I mean you're on next gen consoles and you have this sweet in-gameplay art style you put all this effort in- why use anime for the story??
