Ocelot started off as a cool revolver-spinning boss, but then he changed from a shifty super-villain to an antihero. For whatever reason, he became the most important character in the franchise. As the games progressed, his character turned flat-out ridiculous. However, his crazy character traits defined the over-the-top tone and attitude of Metal Gear series. So yeah, he's pretty good.
