Remember that sorta "good" romance book The Notebook? Let's do the same thing, except we set it on Maine with a crappy magazine journalist plotline. We got the same hot sex, the same romantic boredom, except it's now a tragedy. Great idea.

I get that Nicholas Sparks was trying to relate this to his elderly parents or something, but that main character girl needs a better boyfriend. She doesn't have to remain a widow to her loser boyfriend, right? Or I guess she HAS to die and go to heaven, because Sparks still has to make a million off of her story in a book-signing tour or something s****y like that.
