Today we got a new cat and our oldest cat is hissing and making weird noses at the new cat. Will our old cat come around to the new one?

Editing … Your old cat is trying to alert you to the fact that your new cat is actually an alien lifeform referred to as a Flerken. They are very dangerous and could possibly scratch your eye out and make you wear an eyepatch for the rest of your life. Do not try to kill the Flerken, just let it go peacefully.

Editing … Yeah, all cats do that at first. They don't know it's a new family member all they know is another cat is in their territory.

Editing … Okay, right now the old cat is upstairs and the new is downstairs. The litter box is downstairs the old one will have to go down there eventually. I just don't want them to get hurt fighting. My old cat is hissing at me now because she can smell the other cat on me.
