When the (Arctic) Monkeys played their first performance on NPR, they started with this frenzy of a punk song. Blew my f***ing mind. First of all, there's that f***ing drummer rolling on that hi-hat. Then frontman Alex Turner is trading rhythm parts off with the other guitarist or some s***. And oh yeah, he's singing. In three minutes they proved that they're one of the most virtuoso bands to come out of Britain in years. Beats the f**k out of me why they didn't blow up sooner in the States.
