Similar to its predecessor, but sadly weaker on a few fronts. It has a poorer soundtrack, less memorable boss battles, and a few silly design choices. Apart from these complaints it's on level with the original. There is also one way in which it tops it's prequel, and that's with the addition of the hidden bosses (aka the X Hunters)
