Clearly designed to be a film cash-in, The Forgotten Sands takes the the Prince of Persia formula and adds in a few combat and puzzle gimmicks. These new features add a small amount of novelty to the gameplay (at least for while), but don't attempt anything particularly ambitious. Aesthetically the game is satisfying, depicting a stylised Persia in a graphically consistent manner. The bosses are far too predictable, and the basic combat provides little challenge with simple swarming enemies.
