    Saved!
Disney will reportedly save about $90 million on the production of the next Pirates of the Caribbean by not having Johnny Depp.

Conversely, they'll probably lose a lot more money in theaters by not having Johnny Depp.

I think I've opened up a bit more to the idea of a Sparrow-less Pirates film. He's said to have been, to put it lightly, a bit of a jerk on the set of Dead Men Tell No Tales. He'd show up hours late to set, and the crew even had to place a spy by his house to check when he was waking up, so the could get ready for shooting. At the same time, the writer of the fifth movie didn't understand Sparrow as well as Elliott and Rossio, I rather wish he'd get a better send-off. I'd prefer he appear in a smaller role than be written off altogether.

Henry and Carina shouldn't appear in the sixth movie. I gotta say, those two characters were just bad.
Did you know that in the original Dead Men Tell No Tales script by Elliott and Rossio, Philip (the pious man from On Stranger Tides) was going to appear as a cartographer, searching for a mermaid cove so he could reunite with Syrena? I'd rather have liked that.
